1. Who we are

GetFoodTruckPOS is the food truck edition of the SmartPOS Hub family of point-of-sale software. The operating company's legal details are listed on the About page once confirmed. You can reach us through the contact page or the privacy email shown on the data request page.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need.

  • Website forms: your name, email, optional phone or WhatsApp number, business name, country, and what you write to us.
  • Campaign details: if you arrived from an ad or link with tracking parameters (such as utm_source or gclid), we store those with your form so we know which channel worked.
  • Browser storage on this site: your chosen country, theme, colours, billing view, accessibility settings, recent searches and your cookie choice. These stay in your browser.
  • Analytics, only if you allow it: pages viewed, device type and approximate location, through Google Analytics.
  • In the app (merchants): account details, business and location settings, products, sales, staff and customer records you enter. You control this business data.

3. How we use it

To reply to you and book demos; to run and support your account; to improve the website (only with analytics consent); to keep the service secure and prevent spam; and to meet legal duties. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers that help us operate, under contract: our hosting, Cloudflare (website delivery and spam protection with Turnstile), our CRM (GoHighLevel) for enquiries, and Discord for internal notifications of new enquiries. Your card processor receives card data directly from its reader; we do not. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

5. Your customers’ data (for merchants)

When you store customer details in the app (for loyalty, for example), you are responsible for having a lawful reason and for telling your customers. We process that data on your instructions to provide the service. You can export or delete it at any time.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to 24 months after the last contact, unless you become a customer. Merchant account data: while your account is active and for 30 days after cancelling so you can export it, then deleted from the live system; backups roll off on their normal schedule. Analytics data: under Google Analytics retention settings, if you consented.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent. Use the data request page; we reply within the time the law allows (generally 30 to 45 days).

  • USA, including California (CCPA/CPRA): right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising.
  • UAE: rights under the Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, where it applies.
  • Pakistan: we apply the same access, correction and deletion rights to all users, and follow applicable law including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, role-based access, staff PINs in the app and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires. See the Security page for plain-language detail.

9. Children

This site and the app are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on contractual protections for those transfers.

11. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. Significant changes for merchants will also be sent by email.
