Food truck POS that parks where you park.

Ring orders on your phone, keep your card processor, and post today's spot to a store that builds itself.

Restaurant software was built for tables you don't have.

Floor plans, coursing, reservations, a server handheld per section. A truck needs none of it. You need the line to move, the cash to match and your regulars to know where you are.

GetFoodTruckPOS is the truck edition of the SmartPOS Hub family: the same hosted point-of-sale, cut down to what happens at a window and built up where trucks are different, like posting your spot and moving stock off the commissary shelf.

It needs signal. Here's how trucks keep it.

GetFoodTruckPOS is a hosted app, so ringing a sale needs a data connection. We'd rather tell you that now than at your first festival.

  1. Run it on 4G or 5G. The phone's own data, or a pocket hotspot you control. Not shared event Wi-Fi.
  2. Carry a second network. A hotspot on one carrier, your phone on another. Flip when one chokes.
  3. Test the spot before service. Ring a test sale at a new site while you set up.
  4. If it drops mid-rush, take cash. Note each sale, ring them in when signal returns. The register count catches anything missed.
  5. Ask your processor about reader offline mode. Some readers can store card payments and send them later. That's their feature, with their limits.

Food truck POS questions, answered

The best food truck POS is one that rings a sale fast on the phone you already carry, works with the card processor you already use and does not charge for restaurant features you never touch. GetFoodTruckPOS is built around that: a quick menu, cash and card, an end-of-day close-out and an online store that builds itself from your menu. Try it free for 30 days with no card and judge it on a real service.

No. GetFoodTruckPOS runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or laptop, and there is a mobile app too, so the phone in your pocket is enough to start. If you want more, add a Bluetooth, USB or network thermal printer for tickets and a card reader from your own processor. There is nothing to install on a back-office computer. The /hardware/ page lists what owners usually add once the window gets busy.

No, it needs a data connection to ring sales, and we would rather tell you now than in the middle of a lunch rush. Most trucks run it on the phone's 4G or 5G or a pocket hotspot and keep a second SIM on a different carrier. If signal drops, take cash and enter those sales when it returns; the register close catches the difference. Many card readers have their own offline mode, so ask your processor.

No. GetFoodTruckPOS takes 0% of your card sales because we do not process cards at all. You keep your own processor and reader, and your processor charges whatever rate you agreed with them. We charge a flat monthly software fee per plan, which you can see on /pricing/. That keeps the two bills separate, so you can shop around for a better processing rate without changing your POS.

You post Today's spot from your phone and it shows on your online store: where you are parked, your hours and a short note. It takes a minute between prep and opening the hatch. Share the store link in your Instagram bio, on Google and in WhatsApp groups so regulars check one place instead of messaging you every morning. If you move mid-day, edit the post and the store updates.

Yes, where you turn it on. Your online store is generated from your menu automatically, and customers can place orders ahead for pickup at the window. That helps at office parks and breweries where people want to skip the line. Items you mark sold out stop showing, so nobody orders the brisket you ran out of an hour ago. Leave ordering off on days you only want walk-up sales.

GetFoodTruckPOS is sold in the USA, the UAE and Pakistan, with prices set in USD, AED and PKR for each market. Taxes, receipt layout, date formats and currency are set up per country, including US sales tax, UAE 5% VAT and Pakistan provincial sales tax. The interface and receipts can run in English, Arabic, Urdu, Spanish and more. See /countries/ for what changes in each market.

There is no contract and no setup fee on the POS plans. You pay month to month, or yearly for 20% off, and you can cancel any time and export your data. The only setup fee we charge is on the managed website, because we build that site for you, and it is waived in the Full Rig bundle. Start with the 30-day free trial, no card needed.

Yes. The Fleet plan covers up to 3 trucks plus a commissary kitchen as its own location, and you can add extra trucks at a flat add-on price. Each truck can have its own menu and prices, and the reports roll up so you see every truck side by side or one at a time. Stock transfers from the commissary to each truck are tracked too.

Most owners are ringing a test sale the same day. Creating the account, adding your business, truck and register takes a few minutes, and a 20-item menu usually takes around a quarter of an hour. Your online store appears as soon as items are saved. If your menu lives in a spreadsheet or another POS, our onboarding team can help you import it. The full walkthrough is on /how-it-works/.

Pull up. Start selling.

Sign up, add your truck and your menu, and ring a test sale before your next service.
